Global Petroleum Show 2006 – Navigating Safely to Success

The world’s largest oil and gas event was held in Calgary June 13 – 15. This event was visited by more then 50,000 delegates from over 85 countries and marked the largest international attendance in its history.

In the past year, we’ve added four specialty rig-hauling companies, Kos Oilfield Transportation, Rebel Transport, Streeper Contracting and Hemphill Trucking. With these additions, we had an opportunity to participate in the Global Petroleum Show on a scale that was far more impressive than in previous years.

CF Managing Movement showcased equipment and expertise with a consistent message on safety and our expertise in the energy sector. The remote control safety course attracted more than 26 users per hour.

Our exhibit included a 30-ton Picker truck provided by Rebel, a new company video which showcased our oilfield divisions and demonstrated our fully integrated oilfield services.

We also hosted our first Ultimate Golf Exhibition at Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club. The event included golf challenges and workshops with a golf pro on hand for one-to-one training. The event was an opportunity for us to share our successes with our customers and spend sometime getting to know each other.

Our key messages were consistent throughout the event and focused on providing integrated oilfield services from any size to anywhere when you need it.

Highlights of the 3-day event included:

q       Over 600 attendees challenged our remote control truck safety course (a new candidate was experiencing our course every 2 minutes)

q       Our bright orange, 30-ton Rebel picker truck brought all eyes to our space as we had the largest piece of equipment inside the Roundup Centre

q       Our flat panel TV’s did a great job of showing our equipment in action at various customer sites

q       Generated significant media interest including City TV filming at our booth, and several publications approached us to highlight our organization in industry specific tabloids.

q       We drew for a number of prizes including 6 coveted remote control trucks a number of safety kits and antique trucks.

q       At the Ultimate Golf Exhibition we gave away a number of great golfing prizes including 3 rounds of golf for 2 at Silvertip Golf Course in Canmore, Alberta and a trip for 4 to Invermere, BC including 2 rounds of golf and 2 nights accommodations
